There are few things I love more than a porn star in a costume. Whether they’re shooting b-roll as a lumberjack or an putting on an arty mask, it tickles. One minute they’re all serious and butch and sexy, the next minute they’re speaking in cockney rhyming slang and adjusting a pink bob wig. Luckily for me, they like to dress up almost as much as they like to undress. Michael Verdugo was kicked off HGTV’s “Design Star” last night, but the judges cited his “poor hosting skills” — not his gay porn past — for his exodus. There’s a clip from the show (filmed well in advance of its premier Sunday, no doubt) on HGTV’s website where you can see Mikey V in all his clothed, untied hotness (and catch a few glimpses of his telltale tats).

Rod 2.0 broke the tragic news that popular Cocodorm model “Lamar” (real name Eric Lamar Turner), died when his car cossed the median of Indiana freeway and hit a semitrailer head-on in a rainstorm.

Turner and the two other people in the car died instantly, according to police. Turner, who was 23, was returning to Indianapolis from Chicago Gay Pride. According to Rod 2.0, he lived in New York City and Indianapolis and although he no longer performed for Cocodorm, his friends and fellow models are devastated by the loss.
