I promise no more posts about this Folsom Street Fair. After this one: Bobby Clark -- the former Cockboy perhaps best known for being spit-roasted by the Bel Ami twins, shared some sad news with me about his career on Sunday at his first-ever Folsom Street Fair. PS I'm not on Quaaludes, it was just a very long weekend.

In a country where obscenity prosecutions and sex toy bans still exist, we were delighted to find out that 88% of guys think what a couple does in the privacy of their own home is their own business and 79% think that sexual fetishes are a-ok.

A few other interesting findings:

• 52% of men surveyed said they'd be interested in a threesome
• Public sex is a turn on for 46% of the guys we asked
• 51% of the study group is having the best sex of their lives with their current partner

While these results may not mean that all Americans are suddenly ready to embrace their kinky side, we're encouraged by any sign that people are finding ways to open up and explore their sexuality in a fun and consensual way.

Leather, latex and lack there of filled the 40,000 plus crowds in attendance at the 27th annual Folsom Street Fair. As always, Kink.com's presence dominated the world's largest fetish/leather event with mind-blowing demonstrations from Van Darkholme, Matt Williams, and Peter Acworth, just to name a few. With the streets packed with BDSM life-stylers, enthusiasts, and curious on-lookers, Folsom made an amazing backdrop for Princess Donna's Public Disgrace and KinkMen's yet-to-be launched new site, Bound in Public. With so much public exhibitionism and debauchery, do we really have to wait another 365 days?

Kudos to the folks creative enough not to just slap on a pair of ass-less leather chaps and call it an outfit. Best costume for the day goes to Race Cooper:

In what was easily one of the funniest moments of the show, Diesel Washington demonstrated the sex position he invented on host Alec Mapa.

Of the nine GayVN Awards I've been to, I'd classify this year's ceremony as the lowest-drama. They sailed by at a relatively fast clip, no one stormed on stage, and no one was hit by ice. While here's the complete list of winners; what follows is the best moments of the evening.

European pop music sensation Carsten Davidson (or, Ashton Sorensen, as he was known when he appeared in Wet Palms in 2004) opened the show.

Inexplicably dressed as Jesus, Wifried Knight (who would later win performer of the year) reading the nominees for "Best Solo Performance" with Steven Daigle, who appeared on stage wearing just a cowboy hat.

I was lucky enough to have dinner Friday before the GayVNs with Lifetime Achievement winner Pat Rocco, but I have to admit the rest of the weekend has been a bit of a blur. I remember grinding near with GayVN "Personality of the Year" Sister Roma, touching Paul Wagner's butt and getting willfully molested by Rafael Alenca, but some how I missed the induction of D.O. and Adam Champ as Raging Stallion's Man of the Year> I have vague flashes of Matthew Rush being in my living room, and of Logan McCree saying something about sex with a woman. It is possible that I was roofied.

Raging Stallion took home top honors again last night at the 2010 GayVN Awards, with Focus/Refocus (and the Ward-Leon-DiMarco team behind it) taking home Best Feature and Best Director (they tied with Joe Gage for intergenerational sensational, Dad Takes a Fishing Trip). I've been hiding in the woods for the past few days preparing for the upcoming Folsom weekend, so forgive me for a little lag. Tomorrow night, the stars will converge on the Castro for the GayVN gay porn Awards ( http://www.nakedsword.com/features/gayvn.aspxpresented by NakedSword.com), and while the streets will be flowing with rum and diet coke, it seemed worthwhile to spread Chi Chi's latest message. While I doubt many holes will be shut this weekend, hopefully they'll at least be safe ...
