Saturday night, Men Magazine named Randy Blue's Reese Rideout their Man of the Year for 2008. For the record I'm happy for Reese; readers of this blog know Mike and I are huge fans of his. But would it kill Men Magazine to pick an actual gay man? Last year it was ">Johhny Castle ... and in the years prior it's been Zeb Atlas and Mark Dalton (Mark's been named it twice).

My high school wrestling team was one of the finest in the nation, and I'm not even talking about the championship. On winter weekends, we'd all cram into Mad Maxish auditoriums that smelled like sweaty jock straps to watch the bulges in singlets throw each other around.
